Baler, Aurora in a bit!

This summer, we wanted to try beach and experience waaaaaaaaaves! So we come up with a decision to have a daytour at Baler, Aurora which is a 3- to 5-hour drive from our place, Gen. Tinio Nueva Ecija. But ofcourse, travel time will be a little bit shorter if you have private car and leave earlier (like 2AM).
Our private van departed at 4AM and arrived in Baler at 7:30AM. It's advisable to arrive at the beach early because waves are better in the morning! Yay! Our first stop is at Brgy. Quirino where we saw the Asia's largest Balete Tree,!

The tree is estimated to be about 600+ years old and 60 metres (200 ft) tall with its roots about 10 metres (33 ft) to 15 metres (49 ft) in diameter. It is known as the official "Millennium Tree" of the Philippines.

After taking selfies (HAHA), we headed to Sabang Beach where we rented a nipa hut but I forgot how much is it. It's good for 5-10 persons, inclusive bathroom and electricity use. For those who wanted to stay there overnight, there are a lot hotels there to choose from. One of these hotels is Costa Pacifica which is behind me at this photo...

We have our foods packed, but there are plenty of stores and restaurants where you can buy foods.

Baler experience is never complete without trying to surf!! Boards can be rented at P250/hour. I choose to have an instructor (additional P100) because it's my first time, and I'm a little bit hydrophobic. Hehehe

My brothers also tried surfing...

But Ate is a little bit afraid so she just played sand and water with our baby sister.. Hehe

The guy on the left is Kuya Lord, he's my surfing instructor.

Surfing sesh is only for one hour so we just played around and took selfies while it isn't very hot yet. (I got a shade darker, though)

We already enjoyed the beach for 4 hours! The sun is already up and it's so hot. The waves already retreated and aren't that strong. Time for our third stop: Museo De Baler located at Poblacion, Baler! Entrance is 50php per head. No fee for 3ft and below.

That concludes our one-day Baler, Aurora trip!

There are more places to visit in Baler like Dona Aurora Quezon House, Ditumabo Falls, Dinadiawan Beach, Baler Lighthouse, Pantabangan Dam (on your way), Dialyn's bakeshop, and many more, but we weren't able to visit them all due to limited time. Aurora is such a beautiful place! I see God's greatness in all natural resources in it.

I was......in awe. :)

Minalungao National Park!

On our short trip to Nueva Ecija, we decided to visit one of our hometown's hidden gem, the Minalungao National Park.

  • Entrance fee is only 30php/head.
  • Parking is free.
  • Cottages can be rented at 250-500php, depending on the size.
  • You may also tour around the park while riding a raft for 500-1000php.
  • Stores and small restaurants are available, but it's more advisable to bring your own food.
  • Other adventures such as ziplining and hanging bridge-crossing are also available, but we didn't try it because we're busy eating. HAHA Sorry, I don't know the rates.
  • Overnight is not yet advisable. Construction of hotels are ongoing so I think in the near future, the park can accommodate more guests and can allow overnight stays. Also, there are parts of the park that have no lights yet, so it's dangerous there at night.
Here are some snaps taken from my iPod...(no filter)

If you're a nature lover, I know you'll be happy seeing these cool rock formations and clear waters...

And there's my sister...taking photo of her boyfriend, Kuya Mark. :)

Lastly, groupieeeee! ;)

Those who want to have a tour at this place, PM me. Charot!

As we went home, Ay! Valentines Day pala bukas.....and my peg is.....Tadaaaaa! (lol)

Our first stop is at Poracay Resort, located at Porac Pampanga. Rates are 200 for adults and 150 for kids (below 4ft.) for a day swimming. Rates are different for night swimming. We rented a cottage for P1,500 which can accommodate 5-10persons.

0920-977-4491
0922-843-0725

The resort is good as it is surrounded by lots of trees!

Poracay has more than 20 pools! Moreover, people may want to try other adventures such as boating and ziplining. I didn't try those, though. Hehe. We just enjoyed the waters.

My baby sister enjoying the kiddie pool with Tito Tony...

Ate does't know how to float....HAHA... Always with her salbabida.

More pictures...

Before we leave the resort, picture muna syempre! (Photo taken from my sister's instax mini 8) For keeps!

Our next stop is at SkyRanch Pampanga located at the back of SM City San Fernando Pampanga. My baby sister is the happiest, ofcourse!

Summer well spent! Thank you Lord for the experience!

ABOUT ME

Hi everyone!

My name is Lou Brigette Ramos, 19y/o.
"Lou"
I'm a typical teenage girl who loves to try new things and meet new people. (Though, I have my own ways of doing such.) I grew up in Nueva Ecja and only moved to Manila on 2010 to study college. I recently graduated from Far Eastern University (FEU) Manila last April 2014 with an Internal Auditing degree.

As of today, I am not yet employed because I'm in the middle of thinking about what I want to do in life.

was kinda doubtful about creating this blog since I don't have that much to share. Also, I'm not that good in photography, nor words. But I'll try to be better day by day. Hehe. The idea of blogging began when I graduated last April. I have lots of things running in my head like I wanna work and i'll write about my experiences in the workplace,oh I want to travel and feature different places in this blog, I want to share milestones and testimonies, and the long list goes on...which have been the very reason why I created one.

I hope that this blog will inspire people as it has inspired me to make this move and just do it.

Lou
